National Community Services Workforce Profile Project

The final report “Who Works in Community Services – a profile of Australian workforces in child protection, juvenile justice, disability services and general community services” is has been commissioned by the Community and Disability Services Ministerial Advisory Council (www.csmac.gov.au) and is available for download from this page.

The report represents delivery of a major CDSMAC initiative, undertaken by the Structural Issues in the Workforce (SIW) Sub-Committee. Read more

A Snapshot of Early Childhood Development released

The first Australian Early Development Index (AEDI) was released on 10 December. The AEDI is a population measure of how young Australian children are developing in their early years. The AEDI measured children’s developmental progress across five domains in mid-2009.

The Community Services Information System (COMSIS) has been released to the Nonprofit Community Services Sector as part of the Department of Communities’ commitment to the Queensland Compact.

COMSIS was built and is maintained by the Office of Economic and Statistical Research (OESR), a portfolio office of Queensland Treasury, for the Department of Communities. Read more
