Common Service Agreement Consultation Open Now
The Department of Communities proposes to develop a common service agreement which aims to standardise terms of funding, streamline reporting requirements, simplify language and provide clarity in government expectations across all Departmental service areas. The proposed new agreement will also provide the impetus for further reforms such as consolidated reporting and the move to output funding.
The Department is currently undertaking a consultation process on the draft of the Common Service Agreement. An information session was held in Brisbane on 18th November, with key service providers and peak organisations, which QCOSS attended.
Follow up feedback sessions with these organisations are being held on the 8th and 9th of December.
The Department also welcomes wide feedback on the service agreement. A package including the consultation paper, the proposed service agreement and a feedback survey form is on the Department website. This is a valuable opportunity to provide commentary on a significant document to funded services. Please note feedback must be received prior to close of business Friday, 18 December 2009 now extended to 22 January 2010.
